Tsubomi Momose, a high school student, has been nursing a crush on her former homeroom teacher, Kou Miyake, for a while. She hopes to catch his attention with a scarf she has specially knitted for him. Unfortunately, Tsubomi soon realizes that he does not share her romantic feelings.
Luckily, Miyake's distant cousin, the aloof Fuuma Yabuki, comes to her rescue and helps ease her heartbreak. Despite his reputation for being unsociable, Tsubomi finds comfort in Fuuma's unconventional ways of consoling her. As a result, she begins to consider the possibility of developing romantic feelings for him, especially since they are also classmates.
