During his youth, Kazuaki "Chie" Fujikawa was ashamed of his feminine appearance and struggled to speak up for himself, often finding himself in unpleasant situations on the verge of tears. His acquaintance, Misaki "Misa" Yuudai, however, was comfortable expressing himself and had an amiable nature, earning him the nickname "Misa-chan" and Chie's admiration as a role model.
Years later, when the two friends reunite in high school, they are taken aback by each other's drastic transformations. As they navigate their changed dynamic, they must determine how to perceive and interact with one another.
