Despite his success at a prestigious company, Nishima feels empty following his divorce from a loveless marriage. But a chance encounter at a café reunites him with Miyama, an old high school classmate and café owner. At first, Miyama seems to have forgotten Nishima, until he inquires about the absence of Nishima's wedding ring and a conversation they had a decade ago in high school.
