At thirty years old, Honma has become an expert at using deceit as a means of surviving. He tailors his words to pacify others and obtain what he desires. While attending an event for his former university club, he encounters a striking young man named Mamoru Ikai, who appears to harbor animosity towards him. Undeterred, Honma sets his sights on winning Ikai over, but discovers that his task is not as simple as he anticipated.
Ikai asserts that he is incapable of understanding the motivations behind individuals' acts of kindness or expressions of love. As a result, he is suspicious of anyone who claims to care for him, questioning the existence of unconditional love. Despite this, Honma proposes a one-month trial period to pursue a romantic relationship with Ikai, who surprisingly agrees. During this short period, only time will reveal the genuine nature of Honma's attraction towards Ikai.
