The series follows the story of Suzuki Ichirou, a heterosexual man who develops intense feelings for another man, Satou Yuuki. Suzuki is convinced that Satou was born a girl trapped in a male body. The narrative also includes Oku Hiroya, an author who is Satou's closest friend. The first three volumes of the series are based on Oku's original short stories, which also feature early versions of the Hen series.
