Together, Shiki and Yamato grew up in Yamatai village. Yamato served as Shiki's protector from bullies, and his sunny personality unknowingly stirred Shiki's emotions. As Shiki matured, he acknowledged that he felt his pulse quicken whenever he was close to Yamato. Likewise, Yamato realized that his love for Shiki was reciprocated when he couldn't resist the allure of Shiki's crimson eyes. Unfortunately, destiny kept them apart for ten years. Nonetheless, Yamato never forgot his adoration for Shiki, eventually reconnecting with a special "person."
