Chapter 3 introduces Famous novelist Takamura, who is famously known as the "Hard-boiled man." While visiting a coastal village, he becomes captivated by a young man named Midori, who possesses extraordinary jade green eyes. Unknowingly, Takamura finds himself attracted to the guesthouse where Midori's family lives. As they spend time together, Takamura discovers that he and Midori share a sorrowful past, but Midori's positivity and trust in life still exist. Nevertheless, Takamura's anger and disappointment overpower him, leading to his violation of Midori. The story builds up with their complex emotions and struggles towards each other.
