In a world where werewolves live alongside humans, the military is tasked with finding and apprehending as many of these "beasts" as possible. Neil, who is Rood's most trusted ally and a medical examiner, is given the job of exploring the nearby woods. When Neil doesn't come back, Rood decides to enter the forest in search of him. As he searches for his friend, he comes across Gio, a werewolf who is taking care of a sickly young boy called Theo. What will become of these two vastly different creatures?
