The Kingdom of Cors is facing a grave crisis, with Alain, the next in line to the throne, caught in a dangerous predicament. The mother of his older brother, the crown prince, is plotting to kill him so that her own son can ascend to the throne. Despite his royal standing, Alain has no wish to harm his siblings or fight for the crown. To secure his escape, he seeks aid from Saul, a Matara warrior held captive in the castle. However, Saul demands a singular and intimate pledge from Alain before he agrees to help.
