At a point far ahead in time, humans faced otherworldly beings known as the "Gods" while navigating outer space. The humans' spacecrafts were easily destroyed by the formidable Gods. Nonetheless, the Gods had a higher mission: to observe conflicts between various life forms in the galaxy. Consequently, the Gods granted humans the opportunity to select candidates to participate as "players" within the competitions they orchestrated.
