For as long as he can remember, Akira has harbored a secret admiration for his childhood friend, Kurumi. Sadly, Kurumi's heart belongs to Akira's pal, Umezawa. Despite feeling envious of Umezawa, Akira is inspired by the depth of their bond and the trio's ability to enjoy their school days despite the awkward love triangle.
However, their peaceful existence is shattered when some of their fellow students begin attacking others and transforming into flesh-eating monsters. Chaos descends upon them, and both Kurumi and Umezawa fall prey to the transformation. Kurumi, now a ravenous cannibalistic monster, closes in on Akira, who prepares himself for her fatal bite. To his surprise, Kurumi regains control of herself just in time. But little do they know, this ordeal is only the beginning.
