Morty, a reaper, desires to become friends with a human being. Unfortunately, this is challenging due to his appearance as an intimidating skeleton, which makes initiating any form of acquaintanceship a daunting task. Nevertheless, Morty fortuitously befriends Lance, who perceives him as a usual person and believes that he is conventional. Fearing that Lance may spurn him once he discovers the truth, Morty elects to assume a false identity as a mere mortal.
