Originally thought to be deceased, Aoto was given a second chance at life due to a heartfelt plea made by his younger sister Meika to the water goddess Mikuri. Unfortunately, this request came with a cost; Mikuri lost her immense power and became unable to assist those in need within the town. Overwhelmed with guilt for causing such a situation, Meika takes it upon herself to aid anyone who requires assistance. In the end, Mikuri relinquishes her position as goddess to Meika and bestows upon her the remaining remnants of her magic. Now, as one of the many guardians of her community, Meika works tirelessly to grant the wishes of those experiencing dire circumstances.
