A screenwriter is spending Christmas alone at a diner, a fan of people-watching and the atmosphere it provides. When he discovers he's forgotten his lighter, a fellow patron offers him one at the cost of intruding on his personal space. This is the story of two men and the possible beginnings between them on a lonely, holiday night.
