Sora Pometani, an abstinent high schooler, possesses an unusual quality - when he's agitated, he transforms into a Pomeranian. During one such transformation, his classmate and love interest, Makito Matsuda, stumbles upon him and brings him to his abode. There, Makito recognizes a resemblance between Sora's Pomeranian form and his deceased grandmother's dog, "Pometa". Upon discovering Sora's unique ability, Makito requests him to continue visiting his grandmother in the same form, to bring her happiness. Grateful for Sora's assistance, Makito befriends him, surpassing their prior secret crush relationship.
