Taking place amidst the warring states era, centaurs are subjugated and relegated to the status of mere beasts of burden. Matsukaze, a strong and defiant centaur, relinquishes his own independence in order to safeguard one of his own kind and cross paths with Kohibari, a timid and compliant centaur who has resigned herself to their subservience to humans. As a team, they might be able to rally and overthrow their captivity, galloping free and living as emancipated centaurs.
