Despite their stark contrasts in personality, high school students Momoko and Wakaba share a strong bond thanks to a single baby. While Momoko is exuberant and flamboyant, Wakaba is introverted and reserved. However, on a dreary, rainy day, Wakaba abandons the infant under a bridge, seemingly leaving the child to die. Fortunately, Momoko stumbles upon the baby and vows to protect him from all danger. Now, both women must take on the role of "mother," but they each face their own unique obstacles. For Wakaba, it means grappling with feelings of remorse, a controlling partner, and the realization that she lacks a maternal instinct. Meanwhile, Momoko must navigate the challenge of raising a child while still attending school and caring for her own family.
