A destitute Chinese mother in 1910 trades her son Lee-Ren to a Japanese official for sexual exploitation. Following this, Lee-Ren's existence is characterized by being owned and controlled by the official's family, who use him as they please. Amidst all this, Jin, the inexperienced and vulnerable son of the master, matures alongside Lee-Ren, and their connection is fraught with turmoil and unrest. This is the tale of their journey.
