Ginrei, the Fox Spirit of the Silver Order, finally pledges his love to his beloved Menou, the Fox Princess of the Agate, on their wedding day. Meanwhile, a 23-year-old destitute named Handa Shin seeks refuge from a summer storm at Ginrei's shrine. As he hungrily consumes the offerings, he jests that he would marry Ginrei just for the scrumptious food.
The story comprises four sections, the first taking up four chapters and the second three. Moreover, the volume incorporates two additional short stories linked to the primary plot, totalling a chapter count of nine.
