Aoi was once an ordinary boy until a wizard named Makaeru, who originated from the Land of Frogs, brewed a magical water that caused his transformation into a frog. After being hurled into a tree trunk by Makaeru, Aoi unexpectedly teleported to the Land of Frogs where he was discovered by Princess Mimori. Together, they embarked on a quest to retrieve the missing pages of the Magic Book, which held the key to reverting the curse that caused Aoi's body to alternate between human and amphibian form. Whenever Aoi became damp, he transformed into a frog, but upon getting dry, his original form was restored.
