While walking home one night, Kuranosuke ran into his childhood friend, Kazushi Natsui. Kazushi posed an unexpected question, asking Kuranosuke if he would be interested in being a mother to a little boy. The exchange brought Kuranosuke's buried past to the forefront of his mind, causing him to realize that things were not as distant as he had believed. What was most surprising to him was that Kazushi, his first love, was now married with a child- something Kuranosuke never could have anticipated. Although he had not envisioned himself starting a family at the time, Kuranosuke agreed to include Kazushi back in his life and assist his intelligent daughter, Wakaba. However, he was oblivious to the fact that Kazushi held deeper feelings towards him than just wanting a motherly figure for Wakaba.
