At the start of Kikuchi's day, his ex-girlfriend shared news of seeing someone new, leaving him feeling down. Despite this, he had to attend work and there he encountered Akaboshi, a charming student of Sera's who also happened to be a friend from university. Although typically reserved, Akaboshi radiated pure delight around Sera. Meanwhile, Kikuchi was aware of a secret Sera harbored that could harm their relationship, and as her confidante, he found himself in the middle. Surprisingly, Kikuchi began to develop feelings for his student as well.
