Thanks to his father's expertise in magic, Yoichi Takato developed a range of skills during his high school years and became a polymath. However, after joining the magic club, he discovered a community of similarly interested individuals with whom he could share his thoughts. Nevertheless, when a terrible crime occurs, Yoichi must act fast. As Hajime Kindaichi's opponent and dubbed "the hellish puppet master," he is tasked with cracking the case while still in high school.
