Despite his mid-thirties age, Chisato is often mistaken as a much younger man. Furthermore, he takes great pride in being a doting father to his 15-year-old son, Riju, all while maintaining an attractive appearance. Unfortunately, Chisato harbors a peculiar pastime of banishing Riju's friends - alleging they'll taint his son's morals. In order to carry out his scheme, Chisato masquerades as a hospitable host but laces their cake with poison. Though Shunsuke is the sole person privy to Chisato's deception, it's somewhat vague whether he likes Riju romantically. Nevertheless, Chisato remains enamored with an anonymous writer and passionately convinced that Riju's comrades uphold ulterior motives. The third volume contains the 'Kireani' story.
