When he was younger, Makoto Kaizuka found comfort in spending his free time with his friends at a local shrine, where they often hung out with a fascinating girl named Yukari. Although she eventually started playing with them, Makoto was confused when his friends lost interest in her over time. He later discovered that Yukari was a deity visible only to children, who was unable to leave the shrine's boundaries. Makoto clings to his cherished memories of Yukari as he moves on to middle school, determined to preserve his youth. He cuts classes to take pictures of locations resembling the shrine, but despite his efforts, he finds himself gradually losing touch with his childhood memories.
