SAOTOME Nanno is your typical first-year high school girl with a humdrum life, accompanied by her trustworthy friends Maki and Yuusuke. Nanno dreams of having a boyfriend, but she's apprehensive when it comes to guys after suffering heartbreak in the sixth grade.
While at school, she runs into a strikingly handsome boy who sets her heart aflutter. He appears surprised to see Nanno and begins to tease her. Familiar lines, typical of a 70s-style manga that Nanno's friend Maki collects, roll off his tongue. But there's more to this boy than his looks and smooth talk - he's the same one who shattered Nanno's heart years ago - Tsusuki-kun.
Upon learning his true identity, Nanno is furious and embarrassed. Tsusuki-kun had mocked her from the beginning, aware of who she was. Plus, he's already dating someone else. Nanno is determined never to like him again, even though her heart continues to thump with his presence.
