Taking place several years after Masami Kurumada's original work, this is a spinoff based on Fuuma Kojirou. The remaining members of the Fuuma clan include Kojiro, and his pupils Komomo and Tora. Renya Yagyu Ranko enters the picture with an ardent ambition to acquire the legendary sword Fuurin Kazan, rumored to be in Kojiro's possession. However, this mission is merely a prelude to a greater scheme. The secretive Karmasho clan, a faction of the mysterious Yagyu family, seeks to resurrect the diabolical entity, Fuuma priestess Himeko Hojo, by sacrificing countless lives. Familiar characters from the original manga will make appearances in a world full of intrigue and concealed intentions. Artist Yuri Satoshi's style mimics that of Masami Kurumada, the mastermind behind the original creation.
