Chika aspired to follow her mother's footsteps and pursue her dream by seeking membership in the Folk Music Club at her mom's high school. Sadly, the club that her mother glorified did not exist anymore when Chika arrived. Feeling despondent and uncertain about her next move, Chika encounters Tenko who shares the same vision of forming a music group and sees Chika as the missing link. Although eager to join a rock band, Chika is perplexed as to why the rest of the group are carrying string instruments.
