Yukinori assumes the role of president at his father's welding factory in Kyushu after his father falls ill and requires hospitalization. Although Yukinori is not well-versed with the company's affairs, his father suggests that he seek guidance from Maki, the factory manager. Despite Maki's gruff demeanor and aloof personality, his colleagues have great respect for him due to his commitment and zeal. Nevertheless, when Maki discovers that Yukinori is gay, he becomes openly hostile and starts harassing him by making unwanted advances and mocking him for attempting to carve his own path.
