Sou Kagura, a high school student, enjoys his life until his parents abandon him due to their large debt. In exchange for money to settle their debt, they sell Sou to Mikoto Ouzuki, a wealthy real estate tycoon who desires Sou's companionship. However, Sou's sister, Ui, steps in with a proposal: if Sou can repay the debt in a year, he will be free from Ouzuki's grasp. Ouzuki agrees, but Sou soon discovers that Ui's plan involves him working at a maid cafe named "Kanade" as one of the maids.
