After heavily depending on his charming appearance as a celebrated detective, Ichigo now finds himself in dire straits. When the opportunity of a reward arises, he readily accepts a job offer from Kuki Otohide. However, despite his utmost endeavor, Ichigo falls short and looks up to Kuki for help to accomplish the task. To Ichigo's amazement, Kuki has an urgent matter to discuss with him, leaving the detective puzzled as to what it could be.
