Yaeko Mitamura, at just 18, works at her father's Okonomiyaki restaurant. One day, she has a chance encounter with a young boy named Hashizo, who is accompanied by his unusual feline friend, Juliano. After losing his parents as a baby, Hashizo has been raised by his older brother, Gou Katou, the charismatic frontman of the up-and-coming band "Bee Hive." As Yaeko gets to know Gou and his bandmate, Satomi Okawa, unexpected events unfold- including love, envy, rock'n roll, and the emergence of new stars.
