The focus of the manga revolves around Megumi Ayase, an idol singer employed by Parthenon Productions - the talent agency owned by Mami. Megumi, who happens to be the most prominent star at Parthenon Productions, displays discourtesy to Mami upon the latter's joining the agency. Megumi is envious of Mami and considers her a competitor. The manga narrates Megumi's experience as an idol as she endeavours to act as a respectable senior colleague towards Mami.
