In a world where both humans and Juujin exist peacefully, the latter are creatures with human-like attributes, disregarding their tails and ears. Juujin are often employed as laborers or pets. However, a new kind of Juujin has surfaced, known as the Evolutions or EVOs. The EVOs possess otherworldly powers and have turned against humanity.
Peke is among the EVOs and grew up alongside her master, Yamato Yamamoto. Yamato's mother works at the Health Care Center, the entity regulating the Juujin population, and has designed an exclusive collar that can limit the EVOs' abilities. Following the collar's use to restrict Peke's powers, she must now sacrifice her abilities to save the world, detain the rebellious EVOs, and win over her master's heart.
