At nightfall, Ronet, a lone messenger driven from his abode by conflict, intervenes when a neighborhood bully attempts to sexually assault the stunning adolescent, Bear. Despite having little grasp of the world around him, Bear confides in Ronet that he is journeying towards Ronet's homeland, now plagued by a cursed forest. Bear pleads with Ronet to join him as a guide, but Ronet refuses. Then, shockingly, Bear morphs into a plush toy right before Ronet's eyes!
