The primary purpose of the "Kojiki," which is Japan's oldest history chronicle dating back around 1300 years, was to prove the Emperor's divine ancestry. It features a mix of Japanese history and myths, with this manga centering on the celestial tales about deities found in the initial installment. Among these are the creation of the universe and the emergence of Jinmu (Japan's fabled progenitor), as well as the Yamato Takeru No Mikoto myth, which was initially part of the sequel volume.
