As a high school student, Tanaka finds scary girls irresistible and thinks they're adorable. He harbors a secret desire to befriend Mizuno-san, a delinquent who occupies the next seat in class. With her tough exterior, she's the subject of malicious gossip and instills fear in her peers. Initially, she rebuffs Tanaka's advances, but eventually begins to respond to his efforts. Tanaka is intent on helping her socialize within their class, but disaster strikes on the day of the school festival.
