Volume 5 of Yuu Watase's Masterpiece Collection is comprised of four stories, each with its own unique plot.
1) Mint de Kiss Me - This tale centers on Misono, a superstitious girl who tries a legend that involves kissing the man you like with a mint candy in your mouth. Misono has a crush on her young teacher, Tohno-sensei, but her attempt to surprise him goes awry when she accidentally kisses her classmate Shindou. To her surprise, Misono's spirit enters Shindou's body.
2) Genseika - After witnessing one of her friends die suddenly, Chiya searches for answers when others begin dying from strange flowers. She soon discovers that the answers may be closer to home than she thought.
3) Furimuke Romance! - Taka, a tomboy who longs for a handsome guy to ask her out, receives a special ring from a cheerful street vendor named Ryouta. The ring's heart locket pendant allows for two enclosed pictures, which leads to romance.
4) Hang in there Nakago (Part I) - This story follows Nakago, an actor who portrays a character in Fushigi Yuugi. Despite his success on stage, Nakago lacks confidence in himself. He finds encouragement from his one main fan, an unnamed woman who brings him flowers.
