The adults in Yukito's life have shown him nothing but cruelty. His own mother left him to live with an abusive stepfather, and as he starts to resemble her, the mistreatment escalates. It's not just verbal and emotional abuse anymore - elderly men, including his father's associate, are taking things way too far and making sexual advances.
