Yuki has been withdrawing from social interactions since a traumatic experience in junior high school. Despite this, his classmate Kawai commands attention with his sociable nature. Yuki gradually becomes attracted to Kawai's optimism, a quality he lacks. However, when Kawai playfully kisses Yuki and elicits new emotions, Yuki becomes uncomfortable and distances himself from Kawai. Thus, a Jirikyun romance unfolds between an innocent canine-human hybrid and a reserved, introverted boy.
