Working for the Winifred family, Sandy the maid cherishes the moments when she gets to see the handsome face of Killian Winifred. However, Alexandra, Killian's fiancée, despises his womanizing tendencies and would rather be struck by lightning than marry him. A stroke of misfortune occurs when a bolt of lightning hits Alexandra's carriage while she's out on a rainy day. Coincidentally, Sandy falls off a cliff while hunting mushrooms, landing on the carriage. To her surprise, when she comes to, she finds herself inside Alexandra's body! Unable to reclaim her own body which is already buried in a cemetery, Sandy has no other option but to impersonate Alexandra.
