Akane, a student in their second year, thoroughly enjoys their student life. Recently, Toujou, a classmate of Akane's, became their new roommate. Before, Toujou was a typical, diligent, and outstanding student, but last year they drastically changed their appearance by dying their hair red, getting a piercing, and adopting a fashionable style. Akane finds themselves adjusting to this new living arrangement. One night, Akane spots Toujou sneaking out of their dormitory, blatantly disregarding the rules. It turns out Toujou works a night job and keeps it a secret. Worried for Toujou's safety, Akane cannot help but feel invested in the situation.
