The proprietor of a pleasant ramen eatery bears the name of Naka-san and holds a consistent group of regulars, one of which is his business partner, Tomatsu Shimpei. "Naka-san no nagare," a manga by Basso, explores Naka-san and Shimpei's mutual love for ramen, as well as their private lives. Additionally, the publication contains a series of concise tales revolving around two colleagues who work at an art supply store in close proximity to Naka-san's establishment.
