The first five chapters and an additional eighth chapter, titled "Okujou Fuukei" and others, illustrate Minaguchi's subconscious fixation on Andou. Although they are separated in different classes, Minaguchi realizes his loneliness without Andou's presence and discovers Andou's weekly routine on the rooftop on Tuesdays.
Chapter 6, titled "The Vast Summer Sky" or "Natsu Manten," showcases Yuusuke's reunion with his uncle Toshiya after several years. Despite their previous close bond, Yuusuke discovers that there are still things he doesn't know about his uncle.
In chapter 7, "Love is Neither Dream Nor Flower" or "Koi wa Yume demo Hana demo Naku," Hirochika meets Tsukamoto at a convenience store and develops a sexual relationship with him. However, Tsukamoto remains in love with someone else, making their relationship complicated by his unresolved feelings despite continuing to see each other every week.
