At school, Subaru is known as the beloved prince, but deep down he's a devoted fan of shoujo manga. He looks up to the protagonists in these comics and tries to embody their qualities in his own life. Despite his genuine personality, only his longtime friend Jinnai truly understands the real Subaru. However, everything changes when Jinnai transfers to Subaru's class. Though Subaru wants to keep Jinnai from disrupting his ideal youth, he can't help but feel a flutter in his heart just like the heroines in his beloved manga.
