One day, Koki, a researcher burdened with work, stumbles upon an unconscious "dog" at the base of his apartment building and takes it in. The following day, Koki wakes up to find a stranger in his home! Is this man a thief?! In the midst of Koki's distress, the stranger metamorphoses into the "dog" from the previous evening and begins to converse...! "Koki, I am the dog you rescued! Thank you so much, you are exceptionally kind!" Henceforth begins the tale of the pair's life as roommates in their joint abode as pet(?) and caretaker...?!
