Kiji Takahashi, the charismatic and admired leader of the student council, feels restless alongside his two closest companions. In efforts to remedy their boredom, Kiji cooks up a mischievous scheme dubbed "The Prince Game." The objective: bring the most undesirable girl to his upcoming birthday celebration within the month. Kiji sets his sights on Asahi Mabi, a lonesome and weepy young woman who is currently recovering from a painful breakup. But unexpectedly, Mabi doesn't succumb to Kiji's charms as easily as he anticipated. Rather than being a mere pawn in his game, she reveals herself to be a multidimensional human with aspirations and perspicacity. Kiji quickly realizes that winning Mabi over requires a deeper understanding of her - a perilous endeavor when his ultimate objective is her heartbreak.
