After inheriting a temple from his father, Naru noticed that it was slowly deteriorating due to the lack of visitors. He had a hunch that a demon resided within the temple, and began devising a plan to remove it. It wasn't until he met Yomi, an exorcist searching for a different shrine, that he formed the idea to trick Yomi into believing that his temple was actually the shrine he was seeking.
