Pieta, a regular high schooler, has her life altered when the intelligent Tranzi joins her class. Unfortunately, Tranzi's presence appears to be linked to a string of murders, though she is also skilled in solving them. Despite the danger, Pieta volunteers to serve as Tranzi's assistant and eventually falls for her. As those around Tranzi meet their demise, Pieta remains somehow unscathed. In the midst of a dying world, these two young women cherish their existence and persevere.
