However, with a devastated hometown and the urgent need to escape danger from the nefarious Team Flare, he embarked on a perilous expedition with his childhood buddies - aspiring Sky Trainer Y, future academic Trevor, dancing ace Tierno, and fashionista Shauna. They encountered multiple obstacles along the way, and the quest also entailed uncovering the enigmatic Mega Evolution phenomena.
